Global warming ended many years ago, according to climatologist John Casey, and the world is embarking on a period of global cooling which will see temperatures 20 degrees to 40 degrees lower than usual, he said Monday on
Newsmax TV's “America’s Forum.”
“The spate of 100-year cold temperature records we've seen is
not a surprise at all,” Casey said. “It's right on schedule.”

The new cold era is the result of a 206-year cycle of sun, according to Casey, which hasn’t happened since the founding of America.
Casey has written a book on the subjected titled
“Dark Winter: How the Sun Is Causing a 30-Year Cold Spell”.
“The sun is cutting back on the energy by which it warms up and now it's going to get cold for three decades,” he predicted.
Temperatures will sink to colds that no one alive today has ever experienced, he warned, destroying crops and food supplies.
“Once the corn crops begin to get damaged along with the wheat, soybeans and other northern grain crops, we're going to see a substantial loss not only in business, but in food stuff,” he said. “The ripple effect into the energy sector is because of the ethanol produced by corn. We're now putting 10 percent corn fed fuel in our cars and trucks. What happens when we lose 30 percent or 50 percent of our corn crop? Or possibly all of our corn crop?”
The
Keystone XL Pipeline is a “great idea,” he said, considering that food will become a higher priority than fuel.
“Someday historians will look back on what we're doing now using food for fuel,” Casey said.
It’s very possible, he added, that
Russia invaded Ukraine for its natural resources, including a warm port in Crimea.
As for the land invasion, it could be the same interest the Russians have had for hundreds of years: “the wheat that's grown in Ukraine when they can't grow wheat in Russia because of the cold.”
