A new set of emails related to the IRS tea party-targeting scandal should "terrify" Americans, says Chris Farrell, director of research and investigation for Judicial Watch, the government watchdog group that uncovered them.
"The terms 'secret research project,' 'IRS,' and 'donor list' were all used in the same email," Farrell said Wednesday on "The Steve Malzberg Show" on
Newsmax TV. "That's exactly what the IRS was up to. They ended up obtaining donor lists from various organizations that were seeking nonprofit status … [and were placed] under scrutiny. They played political games with them.

The IRS, under investigation for allegedly targeting conservative groups, has said that key emails being sought by Congress were lost in a computer crash. But some of those emails have since been recovered.
