Charles Hurt: WH Team at Michael Brown Funeral Unprecedented

The White House's participation in the funeral for Michael Brown — the young black man shot dead by a white police officer in Missouri — is unprecedented, says Washington Times columnist Charles Hurt.

"The White House treated it like it was a funeral for the head of state by sending no fewer than three designated officials to represent the White House," Hurt said Monday on "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV.

"I can't think of another case where the White House has done that for any sort of dignitary or accomplished person or anything other than head of state . . . during this presidency."
