Brent Budowsky: 'Neither Party Has A Message'

The GOP doesn't have a viable platform, but neither do the Democrats going into the midterm elections, according to Brent Budowsky, columnist for The Hill.

"If you look at Republicans, they really don't have much to offer … except we hate Obama," Budowsky said Thursday on "The Steve Malzberg Show" on Newsmax TV.

"That gets the Republicans — if we use a football analogy and I'm a big Packers fan — to the 30-yard-line of the Democrats. That doesn't get them over the goal line that doesn't close the sale.

"Right now neither party has a message, neither party is making a case. The Republicans didn't close the sale, but neither had the Democrats even begun to make the sale?"

So what does that mean for that fateful voting day in early November?

"I suspect we're in a neck-and-neck, down-to-the-wire kind of an election," Budowsky said.
