Former New York City Police Commissioner Bernie Kerik warns that scores of overdoses and several deaths in multiple states indicate synthetic marijuana may be emerging as the nation’s next opioid-style drug crisis.

On Thursday, Illinois officials reported two deaths and 95 cases of severe bleeding just in the past 30 days have been linked to synthetic pot apparently laced with rat poison.
