Disney CEO: Too Many Ads on TV

Disney CEO Bob Iger said Tuesday what most couch potatoes have always believed: there's too many ads on TV.

During an business earnings call, the Disney chief executive said there'd be some evaluation about the ad load on ESPN and ABC channels – but he didn't suggest cuts were looming, Business Insider reported.

"In general there is probably too much commercial interruption in television," he said, Business Insider reported.

The CEO said Disney would be evaluating the amount of ads aired during programs; there wasn't any talk about quick cuts, however, the outlet reported.

The declaration comes as digital providers like Netflix ramp up offerings that come commercial-free to subscribers.
