The Republican National Committee on Thursday stepped up its assault on former FBI Director James Comey's upcoming book in a tweet containing a mock cover that attacks his "ego."

Here is the committee's post, which also features a mock reviews section on the back cover headlined "widespread accord for James Comey's ego."

Comey's book — "A Higher Loyalty: Truth, Lies, and Leadership"—is to be released Tuesday.

The RNC also created a website on the book, called "Lyin' Comey," that includes quotes slamming him from such top Democrats as Hillary Clinton, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer of New York and his counterpart in the House, Rep. Nancy Pelosi of California.
