Former President Barack Obama will end his 3-month vacation with an event in Chicago next week, The New York Times reported.

His town hall-style meeting with students at the University of Chicago on Monday will be the first of four public events over the next month.

The next three on Obama's slate, the Times reported:

  • A ceremony in Boston where he will accept the Profiles in Courage award.
  • Public stops and private speeches in the U.S. and Europe, including Italy.
  • Stop in Germany with Chancellor Angela Merkel.

Obama is not expected to make any comments about President Donald Trump during any of those appearances, the Times reported, despite being on the receiving end of — and reportedly irked by — several accusations from Trump and/or his proponents.

Most notably — Obama spied on Trump's campaign.

"Trump becomes a distraction from what he wants to do," Kevin Lewis, a spokesman for Obama told the Times.

It is not known how much Obama will be paid for his speeches, but former president George W. Bush commands up to $175,000 per speech and Bill Clinton averaged $200,000, the Times reported.

After moving into a nine-bedroom house in D.C., Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama spent extended time on the private island of billionaire Richard Branson as well as the private yacht of movie mogul David Geffen.
