President Donald Trump's former attorney Michael Cohen asked Americans to vote in the midterms, presumably for Democrats, or risk more "craziness" in the coming years.

Cohen, who had a falling out with his former boss this year, has been urging people to get out and vote. He recently changed his political status with the state of New York from Republican to Democrat.

CNN spoke briefly with Cohen in New York City Friday afternoon and had this to say:

"Listen, here's my recommendation: grab your family, grab your friends, grab your neighbors, get to the poll because if not, you are going to have another two or another six years of this craziness. So, make sure you vote. All right?"

Cohen also admitted that he's always been a Democrat and had only switched his status to a Republican because he was working for the Republican National Committee.

Earlier this week, it was reported that Cohen is willing to help Democrats win on Election Day, which falls on Nov. 6.
