Stormy Daniels said that her harsh feeling towards President Donald Trump’s former attorney Michael Cohen have softened, telling CNN, "I guess I forgive him."
Daniels, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, admitted that for a long time she did harbor ill feelings towards Cohen, “but in the end, you know, he kinda did the right thing. He admitted that I wasn't lying [about the affair she had with Trump] and that Trump had ordered him to do this. So in a way I guess I forgive him."
Cohen pleaded guilty in August to eight criminal counts, including campaign finance violations, tax fraud and bank fraud.
As part of the plea deal, he implicated Trump and admitted that "in coordination and at the direction of a candidate for federal office," he kept information from becoming public that would have damaged Trump during the 2016 election campaign, according to CNN.
This includes the payments Cohen made or helped to arrange in an attempt to silence women, such as Daniels, who said that they had affairs with then-candidate Trump.
Trump has denied having an affair with Daniels.
Daniels also told CNN that the other night, as she was at New York’s LaGuardia Airport, Cohen happened to pass within a few feet of her and smiled when noticing her.
"It was very strange," Daniels said. "He looked happy and healthy, though. He looked like he had a weight off his shoulders."
