Mexican FM Slams Trump for Criticism

Mexican Foreign Minister Luis Videgaray Caso lashed back at President Donald Trump in a tweet on Sunday for his criticism or what he said was the country's failure to stop illegal immigrants from entering the United States.

Every day Mexico and the US work together on migration throughout the region. Facts clearly reflect this. An inaccurate news report should not serve to question this strong cooperation. Upholding human dignity and rights is not at odds with the rule of law. Happy Easter.

Earlier in the day, Trump had slammed Mexico in a tweet touting the need for a wall on the southern border, apparently in response to a report on "Fox & Friends."

Mexico is doing very little, if not NOTHING, at stopping people from flowing into Mexico through their Southern Border, and then into the U.S. They laugh at our dumb immigration laws. They must stop the big drug and people flows, or I will stop their cash cow, NAFTA. NEED WALL!

Trump reiterated his criticism as he went to church for Easter services in Palm Beach, Florida, according to the Palm Beach Post.

"Mexico has got to help us at the border," the president said. "And a lot of people are coming in because they want to take advantage of DACA … They send them into the United States. Can't happen that way anymore."
