LIGNET: Reports of Israel Backing Down May Be a Smoke Screen

Canada’s surprise decision to break diplomatic relations with Iran last week has led some to speculate that Ottawa believes an Israeli airstrike on Iranian nuclear facilities is likely this fall. But other reports suggest the Israeli government is backing away from a possible attack. LIGNET believes something else is happening and that Israel is trying to keep both Iran and the United States in the dark about its intentions.
