Author Joyce Carol Oates Blasted for Anti-Conservative Tweet

A famous author with more than 40 novels to her name is catching heat after she mocked conservatives on Twitter.

Joyce Carol Oates voiced her criticism of conservatives in a May 22 post on her Twitter account:

A conservative is one who has articulated very good reasons for why he isn't going to give you his hand to pull you out of the water. #Drown

Oates, who appears to refer to presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump as T***p when she mentions him in a tweet, has caught a hefty dose of criticism for her slam on conservatives.
