Apparel magnate Les Wexner says admitted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein “misappropriated vast sums of money from me.”

“I am embarrassed that, like so many others, I was deceived by Mr. Epstein,” Wexner said in a letter to members of his charitable foundation, the Wexner Foundation.

“I know now that my trust in him was grossly misplaced and I deeply regret having ever crossed his path.”

Epstein is facing charges of sex trafficking involving dozens of underage girls. He has pleaded not guilty and is being held in a Manhattan jail while he awaits trial.

The financier has estimated his net worth at $559 million, and reportedly built most of his wealth through his clients.

Wexner, whose L Brands owns Victoria’s Secret and Bath & Body Works, was one of his first clients. Epstein managed his stock investments, helped with his taxes and ran his charities and trusts.

Wexner in his letter said he learned the money was misappropriated in 2007 after he severed ties with Epstein.

“This was, frankly, a tremendous shock, even though it clearly pales in comparison to the unthinkable allegations against him now,” wrote Wexner.
