Millions of Americans were stunned by Donald Trump's extraordinary presidential election victory — but not veteran political analyst Dick Morris, who wrote this campaign's seminal guide "Armageddon: How Trump Can Beat Hillary."
The book, published by Humanix, a subsidiary of Newsmax, outlined step-by-step how Trump could defeat his Democratic rival and longtime establishment politico Hillary Clinton. It spent 11 straight weeks on the New York Times bestseller list.
Written with Eileen McGann, it describes detailed strategies to attract crucial new voters to the Republican Party including strong action against terrorism and undocumented immigrants and the creation of new jobs and a new healthcare system.
On Saturday Morris, a onetime adviser to President Bill Clinton, predicted the huge voter shift towards Trump that would seal his victory — a forecast that came true on Tuesday evening.
"This huge swing in Trump's vote — and the equivalent crash in Hillary's vote — is moving the major industrial states," Morris wrote on Newsmax.com.
"Since downscale voters usually break at the very end — and they are breaking now for Trump — the strength of the trend is only now becoming visible."
