Hollywood legend Clint Eastwood supports Michael Bloomberg’s run for the White House.
In an interview with The Wall Street Journal posted Friday, Eastwood described himself as a libertarian — “somebody who has respect for other people’s ideas and is willing to learn constantly.”
The actor who’s played macho characters in films from “Dirty Harry” to “Gran Torino” told the Journal he’s always in “a state of evolution,” but currently is disheartened by the political scene.
“The politics has gotten so ornery,” he told The Journal, adding he approves of “certain things that [President Donald] Trump’s done” but wishes he would act “in a more genteel way, without tweeting and calling people names. I would personally like for him to not bring himself to that level.”
According to The Journal, the “Dirty Harry” star likes New York City’s former mayor.
“The best thing we could do is just get Mike Bloomberg in there,” he said.
