Future Forward, the main Democrat super PAC supporting President Joe Biden's reelection effort, is reserving $250 million of advertising time, which it calls the largest single purchase of political advertising by a super PAC in U.S. history.
The New York Times said the advertising blitz will target the most important battleground states and will launch a day after the Democratic National Convention. The ads will be split with $140 million for television and $110 for digital and streaming platforms, the super PAC said, according to the newspaper.
Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin will be blanketed.
In addition, time for advertising has been reserved in Atlanta and Phoenix, along with Madison, Wisconsin; Reno, Nevada; and in Flint, Michigan.
Last year, Future Forward also launched advertising supporting Biden. The ads touted the Inflation Reduction Act and targeted Latino voters in Arizona, Nevada, and Pennsylvania, Politico reported.
According to the Times, the super PAC is now aiming to target some of the same demographic groups of more disaffected and disengaged Democrats that the Biden campaign is focusing on: younger voters, Hispanic voters, and Black voters.
"The stakes of this election could not be higher, and by Election Day, every battleground voter will know it," said Chauncey McLean, the president of Forward Future's super PAC. "We'll run a cost-effective and data-driven program of unprecedented scale to reelect Joe Biden."
