The threat posed by Islamic terrorism on the United States grows more serious every day, former New York City Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik told
Newsmax TV.
During an interview on "Newsmax Prime," Kerik told host J.D. Hayworth the Obama administration needs to deliver a knockout punch on terrorism or risk another attack on U.S. soil.
"I think that threat continues to increase basically on a daily basis," Kerik said. "As long as we're not fighting the threat the way it should be fought in the Middle East, I think the radical Islamic groups are expanding, they're communicating better than they ever have before, their social media networks are giving them the ability to communicate in a way that we have to come up to speed with.
"If we don't knock them out of the box on the international front, we're going to see a lot more of them here in this country."

Kerik was asked about Jordan's King Abdullah II calling Islamic terrorism what it is, while the Obama administration refuses to string those two words together.
"If the king of Jordan, who knows this enemy better than anyone, if he himself can say the outlaws have slummed and they are radical Islamic extremists, I don't think anybody else should have a problem with it," Kerik said.
Kerik closed the interview with a piece of advice for the American people when it comes to recognizing the warning signs of a potential terror attack.
"If you've got a gut instinct, you need to report it," he said. "Don't let it sit, don't wait, don't let it linger because something could happen and you'll be sorry you did."
