Anthony Scaramucci has torn into The Daily Beast for suggesting in an article that he's telling friends he's headed back to work in the Trump administration.
In a scathing tweet aimed at the online news service, the former White House communications director raged on Monday that there is no truth to the anonymously sourced story by The Daily Beast's Washington correspondents Lachlan Markay and Asawin Suebsaeng.
Scaramucci, also known by his nickname "The Mooch," got the ax from his White House job after just 10 days, following an explosive, profanity-laced interview he gave to The New Yorker.
The Daily Beast story disputed by Scaramucci states, "three sources close to Scaramucci have independently told The Daily Beast that the Mooch continues to brag that he and President Donald Trump talk on the phone, and that the Mooch believes his resurrection in Trump-world could be imminent."
The article continues: "One of these sources said that the Mooch claimed he was flying out to either Washington, D.C. or Mar-a-Lago early this month to meet Trump to talk about it."
