McDonald's to Dole Out Free Fries on Fridays

McDonald’s will be giving away free medium-size french fries every Friday through the end of the year with a minimum purchase of $1.

With 10 Fridays between now and the end of the year, that’s an opportunity for folks to get 2.5 pounds of fries for free, USA Today estimates.

Just in time for your New Year’s resolutions, the paper wryly adds.

The deal is available to each customer only once on Fridays via McDonald’s app, valid at participating McDonald’s restaurants.

After making a $1 purchase, go to the deals tab and select “Free Fries Friday.” Then tap “Add Deals to Mobil Order.” Orders must be made on a Friday to qualify.

This isn’t the first time McDonald’s has run a freebie special. In July, McDonald’s celebrated National French Fry Day with free fries, and in January, the fast-food chain gave away free six-piece McNuggets in celebration of its 40^th year in business.

In September, on National Cheeseburger Day, McDonald’s sold cheeseburgers for just 50 cents.
