As President Donald Trump prepares for his 10-day trip to Asia, several South Korean news outlets have warned against North Korean threats against the U.S. president.
But when Newsmax asked Thursday about potential threats to the president's life from the Pyongyang regime, his National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster made clear his security detail and the U.S. military are prepared for any attempt at foul play. "Whenever the president travels," Gen. H.R. McMaster told us, "Our team does an assessment and will secure the president."
Voicing confidence in what he called "extraordinarily capable forces in the region," McMaster said of threats from North Korea: "So that's routine for us to take that into consideration."
