Support for Brexit has hit a new low according to a YouGov poll released Friday, with 47 percent saying it was the wrong choice.
Britain voted to leave the European Union in June 2016, but many Brexit voters have changed their mind as negotiations last week hit a “deadlock” over post-Brexit payments. Two-thirds of the public think the negotiations are going badly, compared to just over one-third in March.
Labour MPs David Lammy, Chuka Umunna and Steve Reed shared the poll results on Twitter, with Reed saying it was “another sign public opinion is turning against Brexit now the reality of how damaging it is becomes clearer."
The European Union says there can be no talk about trade and other issues until the divorce terms are agreed on, but British Brexit negotiator David Davis is urging leaders of the EU to "take a step forward" and move talks on to future relations between the UK and the bloc.
