Vice President Joe Biden ripped into former House Speaker Newt Gingrich Wednesday for his recent comments about President Obama,
Politico reports. The vice president assailed Gingrich’s recent observation that Obama exhibits “Kenyan, anti-colonial behavior.” In addition, Biden said on MSNBC, the Forbes story on which Gingrich’s comments were based is “garbage.”

In the article, Gingrich said the president’s worldview might be “outside the comprehension” of most Americans. “This is a person who is fundamentally out of touch with how the world works, who happened to have played a wonderful con, as a result of which he is now president,” Gingrich said.

Biden fired back: “And guys like Newt Gingrich repeating that garbage? I mean, this is kind of — what’s happened on the Republican side. When you can’t compete in ideas, you try to delegitimize the other guy. That’s what’s going on . . . the attempt to delegitimize one of the most talented men to enter American politics in three generations.”
