DALLAS (AP) — Sarah Palin fired up a crowd of about 800 abortion-rights opponents in Texas by calling President Barack Obama "the most pro-abortion president to occupy the White House."
She also criticized the federal health care reform legislation during an appearance Wednesday night in Dallas. She praised Texas Gov. Rick Perry for his fight against the legislation.
She and Perry briefly shared the stage at an event to benefit an anti-abortion nonprofit organization based in Austin. The group, Heroic Media, advises women on alternatives to abortion through advertising.
The 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee and former Alaska governor previously appeared at an event sponsored by the organization in Austin in April.
