NEW YORK — New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg says President Barack Obama has broken campaign promises and needs better advisers.
The billionaire mayor is occasionally mentioned as a long-shot presidential candidate. He is a Democrat-turned-Republican-turned-independent who flirted with the idea of running in 2008.
He has mostly shied away from criticizing Obama.
But that changed in an interview that appears in the December issue of GQ magazine. The magazine chose Bloomberg as one of its "men of the year" for 2010.
Bloomberg was asked Thursday about his comments. The former CEO said he has urged the president to include more business people in his inner circle.
