Republican Senate candidate Sharron Angle plans to call for Republican unity against Democrat Harry Reid at a convention that comes just a day after President Barack Obama ridiculed her campaign.
Angle and Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele are headline speakers Friday at the Nevada GOP's biannual convention.
At a rally for the Senate majority leader on Thursday the president depicted Angle as a fringe candidate who would privatize Social Security and Medicare and eliminate federal education and environmental agencies.
Angle says Reid is responsible for Nevada's nation-leading unemployment rate and ailing economy.
She's trying to unite the GOP after a fiercely fought primary campaign.
