You might think Sarah Palin really is running based on the behavior of one Peter Singleton, a lawyer and former software salesman who is driving across Iowa with Palin-for-president pitches to Republicans in the all-important primary state.
But Palin herself hasn’t made any announcements and hasn’t visited

Iowa since December. And, as the
Wall Street Journal reports, both Singleton and the Palin camp say they aren’t collaborating. Singleton says he's acting alone and on his own conviction that Palin will finally choose to run.
Some Iowa Republicans are skeptical of one or both claims.
"The guy has compiled a truly encyclopedic knowledge of Iowa politics and Iowa political operatives," said Iowa GOP activist Stacey Rogers. "He also seems strangely prescient about the internal workings of Sarah Palin’s own operation.”
Singleton, a transplanted Californian who also worked for Sharron Angle’s Nevada Senate campaign, says he knows people might think that he’s a Palin employee or, alternately, that he’s “wandering about on an extended holiday trip.” Either way, he says he believes Palin can beat President Barack Obama next year.
