The poll numbers just keep getting better and better for the Republicans going into tomorrow’s elections. The last Gallup/USA Today pre-election poll by Gallup shows the GOP with a whopping 55 percent to 40 percent lead over the Democrats among likely voters in a generic congressional ballot,
Politico reports.

As a result, a GOP takeover of the House is “highly probable.” The poll suggests a pickup of “anywhere from 60 seats on up, with gains well beyond that possible.” according to the Gallup analysis released late Sunday.
The survey also shows a widening of the “enthusiasm gap” in favor of Republicans. Of Republicans and independents who lean Republican, 75 percent are "absolutely certain" they will vote in the 2010 midterms, compared with 68 percent of Democrats.
