Palin Engages ‘Lame-Stream’ Media

The top media outlets may indeed be more “lame-stream” than mainstream, as former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin likes to point out. But she is increasingly cooperating with those outlets – to get her message out to the widest possible audience as she contemplates a 2012 run for the presidency, Politico reports.

“This is just about getting the press to characterize the governor accurately,” Tim Crawford, a top Palin aide tells the news service. “And, if that can be accomplished through Gov. Palin and some of the people around her talking to the press, we’ll try that.”

In recent weeks, Palin and her staffers have cooperated on stories for The New York Times, Time magazine and ABC News. Palin supporters previously criticized all of them for biased coverage.

“Everyone has just come to the conclusion that being silent while other people talk about you and try to define you hasn’t netted the results that we’d necessarily like,” Crawford states.
