Final Foursome Set for Obama, Boehner Golf Outing

Friday, 10 June 2011 04:45 PM EDT

WASHINGTON (AP) — The golfing foursome is set for President Barack Obama and House Speaker John Boehner's first links outing together.

Boehner says on Twitter that GOP Gov. John Kasich of Ohio will join the group, which also includes Vice President Joe Biden.

The outing is set for June 18. It's expected to be in the Washington area, but the golf course hasn't been named.

Obama campaigned for Kasich's Democratic opponent in last fall's election, former Gov. Ted Strickland.

Obama and Boehner, who's also from Ohio, share a passion for golf.

Their time on the course could give them a chance to hash out their differences over the deficit and other topics.
