Turnabout: NRSC Endorses O'Donnell

Putting to rest talk that it wouldn’t back Republican Delaware Senate nominee Christine O’Donnell, the National Republican Senatorial Committee announced an endorsement for her Wednesday, The Hill reports.

And putting its money where its mouth is, the NRSC will give O’Donnell $42,000, the maximum allowed under law.

"Let there be no mistake: The National Republican Senatorial Committee — and I personally as the committee’s chairman — strongly stand by all of our Republican nominees, including Christine O’Donnell in Delaware," Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, said in a statement.

The NRSC had backed Rep. Mike Castle over O'Donnell in the primary.
