It generally doesn’t look too good for a party to get swamped in congressional elections and then commence internecine squabbling over what little power it has left. So it’s no wonder that Democratic Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr. is taking fellow Reps. Steny Hoyer and Jim

Clyburn to task for fighting over the minority whip position. The party should be focused on the troubled economy, and Hoyer and Clyburn should co
ncern themselves with party recruitment and fundraising efforts rather than fighting each other, Jackson says, according to Politico.
"The Hoyer-Clyburn debate over 'a' job in the congressional minority seems to continue to miss the message of 'jobs for all' that both Mr. Hoyer and Mr. Clyburn were elected to fulfill by their constituents in this year's election," Jackson says.
