Honesty and bravery have their costs. Websites that support former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin were hit with cyber attacks Thursday, a day after hackers briefly disabled Palin’s own web site,
Politico reports.

They knocked Conservatives4Palin, a site that supports her, offline Thursday. The site turned all white, except for a line of text: “This site is currently off air for essential maintenance.”
A source affiliated with the site tells Politico, "At this point I cannot determine who is responsible for the attack, whether this is a coordinated attack against Palin bloggers or if it just happens to be a coincidence."
Palin said Wednesday that the attack on her own site came from hackers sympathetic to WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange. “No wonder others are keeping silent about Assange's antics,” Palin tells ABC News. “This is what happens when you exercise the First Amendment and speak against his sick, un-American espionage efforts.”
