Conservatives aren’t too happy about Democrats’ reluctance to extend the Bush-era tax cuts for all Americans. And Diana Furchtgott-Roth, senior fellow at the Hudson Institute, gives a strong voice to that frustration on
Politico.
“Let’s get this straight. Despite a trillion dollars in government stimulus spending, an unemployment rate of 9.8 percent going into the Christmas season, over 15 million Americans out of work, the Democrats want to go down in history IN FAVOR of tax increases on the small businesses that are supposedly the engine of employment growth?,” she writes.
“Uncle Sam has proved it can’t create jobs, now is the time to let employers try to do so rather than taking funds from employers to the government.”
