Despite the GOP establishment’s backing of Rep. Mike Castle over Christine O’Donnell in the Delaware Senate primary, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell says he’ll support whoever wins,
The Hill reports. O’Donnell has been endorsed by former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and Sen. Jim DeMint, R-S.C. Tea party activists also support her, and she pulled ahead in a recent poll for today’s primary for the GOP candidate to run for Vice President Joe Biden's old seat.

However, polls show that O'Donnell could face an uphill battle with Democrat Chris Coons in November, while Castle ranks as a double-digit favorite
"The voters of Delaware are going to decide this very day as we are speaking who they want to represent them in the Senate," McConnell told MSNBC. "I'm going to support the nominee."
