Avoid an acidic diet. To do this, eat a variety of organic vegetables and fruits in different colors, but make sure you eat some green vegetables and only eat fruits that are very low in sugar, such as blueberries and blackberries.
Next, eat little or no white foods, such as bread, potatoes, pasta, and rice. Avoid cakes, cookies, and chips. Eat little red meat. And consume little or no dairy.
Next, raise the pH chemistry of your body. Our bodies function optimally at a pH of 7.4, which is slightly alkaline.
You can buy pH test strips for home use to check your level. Try to get it up to as close to 7.4 as possible.
Unfortunately, the Standard American Diet is very acidic, and if you use the home test strips, you will likely discover your reading is closer to 6 than it is to 7.4.
