Question: My husband has prostate cancer and has been on flax oil and cottage cheese for 17 months. He also had DHEA prescribed by a urologist. Is this a good treatment regimen for prostate cancer?
Dr. Blaylock's Answer:
Cottage cheese is high in calcium, which stimulates cancer growth and spread. The DHEA
increases testosterone levels, which has been shown to reduce prostate cancer aggressiveness.
As for the flaxseed oil, it can be converted to omega-3 oils, but in many people it can increase arachidonic acid, which increases cancer growth. The best solution is pure DHA oil, which has powerful anticancer effects.
A number of flavonoids have tremendous anticancer effects as well, especially for prostate cancer. These include curcumin, quercetin, ellagic acid, and hesperidin.
Silymarin, from the milk thistle plant, has been shown to powerfully suppress prostate cancer growth. Resveratrol and EGCG (a green tea extract) also powerfully suppress prostate cancer.
Milk enhances prostate cancer growth. Iron, which comes from red meat, is also a potent cancer stimulant.
