Question: I try to keep my Candida under control with grapefruit seed extract. What else can I do?
Dr. Blaylock's Answer:
This is a very common problem and needs to be addressed with close testing. I suggest a stool test for Candida culture and sensitivity, which not only tells you how bad the infection is, but also which agents will kill it.
Keep in mind that you will probably have some yeast growth in the colon. The best way I have found to control the infection is to use berberine along with uva ursa.
Berberine kills the budding form of the yeast, which is critical. Berberine also acts as an antioxidant, brain protectant, and immune regulator. And it helps correct a dysbiosis (disrupted friendly bacteria in the colon), which will suppress yeast growth.
