Trump Jr. to Michael Moore: 'Not The Best Idea' to Open Mar-a-Lago for Storm Shelter

Donald Trump Jr. responded to a tweet from Michael Moore, the filmmaker, playwright, and critic of President Donald Trump.

On Friday, Michael Moore sent a tweet asking if Trump had opened his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida as a shelter for victims of hurricanes.

Has he opened up Mar-a-Lago as a shelter yet?

Trump Jr. said Moore's suggestion was "probably not the best idea."

Moore is performing in a one-man play in New York about Trump's presidency, called "The Terms of My Surrender." He predicted in an Aug. 28 interview that Trump would win reelection in 2020.

However, he also said in that interview that Democrats already have the numbers that could help them win the presidency again.

"We don't have to convince a single Trump voter to vote differently because we already have the majority," Moore said in the August interview, noting that Hillary Clinton won the popular vote in the 2016 election.
