Why Wasn't Obama in Paris?

Frank Gaffney By Monday, 12 January 2015 11:15 AM EST Current | Bio | Archive

Team Obama was a no-show at the 4 million-strong march in Paris yesterday.

Even Attorney General Eric Holder — who was in town — couldn’t bring himself to demonstrate solidarity with Western values against the growing threat to them posed by the global jihad movement.

Instead, we’re told President Obama will hold a summit next month to discuss what he calls “countering violent extremism.” That is the euphemism he uses to avoid talking about terrorism, let alone jihad. Or taking sides against the Islamic supremacists who use violence or stealth to try to impose their repressive Shariah ideology on the rest of us.

Obama’s behavior aligns with the dictates of Islamists, not the aspirations of freedom-loving people. It is an affront, as well as a threat, to those of us who cherish liberty.
