A spokesman for Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood says he has been given a formal warning for assault.
David Rigg said police gave Wood the formal warning or caution Tuesday after he was arrested earlier this month for assault near his home in Esher in southern England.
Wood divorced last month. His marriage collapsed after he started dating a young Russian woman.
A caution is a formal warning given by police. It is not a criminal conviction but police will keep a record of it for five years.
Wood said in a statement that he is "greatly relieved this matter is resolved."
When asked about Wood, Surrey Police said that a 62-year-old man had been cautioned over a domestic incident. Police gave no other details.
