President Donald Trump said in a new interview he is a problem solver who will put an end to the threats posed by North Korea and its threats of nuclear war.
Trump spoke with Fox Business Network's Lou Dobbs about a variety of topics, including North Korea.
"It's a very big problem," Trump said. "It should have never been given to me. This should have been solved long before I came to office, when it would have been easier to solve.
"But it was given to me, and I'll get it solved. I solve problems."
Trump then referenced the success seen on Wall Street this year in the nine months he has been in office to demonstrate what he has accomplished thus far.
North Korea has ramped up its aggressive threats in recent months, saying it will launch a missile strike at Guam or the U.S. mainland. The rogue nation has also conducted several tests of its ICBM program, along with nuclear tests.
A report this week claimed diplomatic efforts to ease tensions between the U.S. and North Korea have stalled.
