New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo spent nearly 40 times as much to win Tuesday's Democratic gubernatorial primary as did his opponent, Zephyr Teachout, reports

Cuomo put out $60.62 for each of his votes, while Teachout spent $1.57. on each vote, reports The Post.
The governor has been steadily raising re-election campaign cash since he was elected in 2010, and he's had eight figures in his account since 2012 while raising at least $5 million every six months.
In the primary, Cuomo won by a wide margin, receiving 327,150 votes compared to Teacher's 180,336 votes, The Post said, citing information from The Associated Press.
In his most recent filing with the New York Board of Elections, Cuomo reported having $30.5 million in the bank.
Since 2011, he's spent almost $20 million on his race, with about $14 million of that amount spent over the last 12 months.
Teachout raised about $600,000 and spent $283,000 in the past year, The Post said.
The net result is that Cuomo spent 38.5 times as much for his votes as Teachout, a Fordham Law School professor and national expert on political corruption.
Cuomo will square off against Republican Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino in the November election.
