African-Americans want to hear the conservative side of issues, not just the liberal side, Eric Johnson, the host of the new conservative television program "The Black and White of It" said on
Newsmax TV Wednesday.
"One of the things that has been missing since political talk was common on the radio and television is that we keep hearing the left side of issues that impact the black community," Johnson said on "America's Forum."
Instead, he said, "we keep hearing from liberal Democrats like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton. I don't have anything against them, but I think black citizens want to hear the other side. I think black citizens want to hear the issues that our president has not been very effective in addressing."
His show dates back to the 1990s "before YouTube or Fox News or Newsmax TV," when he decided to start an Internet talk show. Over the years, Johnson's show got "put on the shelf," but there has been renewed interest in getting the conservative message out there, he said.
