For months, Mitt Romney has played it safe. Hesitant to make waves or any sudden moves, the former Massachusetts governor has ignored the urging of many in his own party to clearly define his pro-business biography and his vision for America.

Until this week.

In a speech to more than 1,000 of his supporters at an oil and gas services company in the former steel town of Pittsburgh, Romney showed that he has a steel spine of his own as he went on a hard offensive about President Obama’s comments on Americans and American business.
