House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., said Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain was “clueless” for his recent remarks referring to the former Speaker of the House as “Princess Nancy,” The Washington Post reported.

“Really, it’s another one of those clueless statements — clueless in that you don’t say something like that,” Pelosi told the Post. “I don’t know that he had any malicious intent, but it trivialized the fact that I was speaker of the House.”

In the 2010 election cycle Republicans spent some $65 million running over 150,000 ads targeting Pelosi in their successful effort to take control of the House, the Post reported. Since then, Pelosi has been tireless in her efforts to reverse the results of the midterm elections.

So far, she has attended 311 fundraising events across the country hauling in $26 million in donations. Last week alone, she hit five cities in five days in her quest to win the 25 House seats necessary to take back control, according to the Post.
