YouTube creator Joey Saladino, known as Joey Salads, recorded himself reportedly receiving abuse for wearing a "Make America Great Again" hat in New York City, according to The Daily Mail.
The video shows a man with his face obscured knocking Saladino's hat off and another man spitting at his feet while swearing at him.
Last October, Saladino posted a video purporting to be evidence the "black community is very violent toward Donald Trump and his supporters."
"You may have seen on the internet and through the polls that a lot of black people don't like Trump," he said in the video. "And they don't even like his supporters in some cases. So, what I did was, I got a car, put some Trump apparel on it, and we're gonna park it in a black neighborhood and see what happens."
The video then showed a group of black men attacking the car.
Saladino was later revealed to have staged the video, after Staten Island resident Pedro Torres, 17, uploaded a video he took of Saladino's production, showing the men who attacked the car had been waiting patiently behind the camera beforehand.
"To be honest with you, I was just chilling, and I look outside the window and see Joey," Torres told The Daily Beast. "I [know he's] known for making shitty vids, and I [know] they were all fake. I wanted to show the world that the videos were actually fake."
Saladino later apologized for the stunt and made the video unavailable to the public.
