HOWARD, Ohio (AP) — Residents of a central Ohio town are holding out hope that two missing women and two children will be found despite "an unusual amount" of blood found in one of their homes.
Authorities in Howard planned an update on the case Sunday afternoon. That's four days after 32-year-old Tina Herrmann and her 41-year-old friend Stephanie Sprang disappeared with Herrmann's 13-year-old daughter and 10-year-old son.
Knox County Sheriff David Barber said Saturday that authorities found blood in Hermann's home. Her pickup truck was found Thursday night in a nature area.
Investigators have combed land, sky and a lake. The state Highway Patrol, the FBI and Center for Missing and Exploited Children are helping investigate.
