In a controversial move, Twitter silenced White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany on Wednesday, locking her out of her personal account for "violating our rules against distribution of hacked material."
She tweeted from her official government account:
"Censorship should be condemned! cc: @Twitter & Facebook NOT the American way"
From her personal account, McEnany shared the New York Post report on Hunter Biden emails showing he helped introduce his father, then-Vice President Joe Biden, to a top official at Ukrainian gas company Burisma Holdings in 2015.
The revelation was tweeted out by a Trump campaign account, showing a screenshot of McEnany's attempt to access her account, The Washington Times reported.
McEnany's tweet no longer appears and the public can still view her other tweets and retweets.
McEnany has been working remotely amid her quarantine after testing positive for COVID-19. She has had no symptoms and is "still feeling great," she told Fox News' "Hannity" on Wednesday night.
"This is censorship; this is not the American way," she told host Sean Hannity.
