Some Twitter users on Sunday were prepared for a “personal announcement” from President Barack Obama after NBC tweeted a typo, reports Mediaite.com.

According to a tweet from NBC Twitter feed @BreakingNews, the president was planning to make a “personal announcement in Rose Garden tomorrow afternoon.” NBC posted the tweet a few hours after it learned that Obama would announce his pick of former Ohio Attorney General Richard Cordray as the new head of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
The mistake remained online for about an hour, and NBC eventually issued a correction changing it to “personnel announcement.”
Mediaite confirmed that the planned announcement was about Cordray’s appointment.
